ABOUT

I’m from Sacramento, California originally. I quite frankly was horrible at U.S. History in high school (as well as other classes), and to this day I still find history boring. The reason I’m doing this show is that I’m a proud American and it’s time to remind folks why we all should be proud Americans. After all, it’s hard to find other countries who was completely ripped in two pieces and spilled such an incredible amount of blood because of the way we treat other human beings. That’s crazy.
But the Civil War isn’t the only reason I do this. As you will hear, there are plenty of examples of the American good, bad and ugly, and I hope you are just as entertained by my take on these stories as I was when I made them.

I have a very small radio background that dates back to the early 90’s in a farm town in Northern California about 45 minutes north of Sacramento. The radio station tried to be competitive in that market (at the time, the 27th largest in the country), but even its mighty 50,000 watts of transmitting juice couldn’t reach past the downtown area, and there just wasn’t a lot of money with that gig. I found other things to do to make money, like bill collecting, driving a cab, and various other sales and marketing ventures before settling into IT. I got married, had a family, and I worked my IT jobs for a good number of years since the money was decent and the jobs were rewarding. But after fixing my 10,000th computer I got bored and decided to venture out, and here I am.

I hear too many college humanity and history professors complain to their students that all this country ever does is invade other countries and wreak havoc. The students graduate only knowing about the Trail of Tears, the invasion of Venezuela, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. They don’t know about the good aspects about Americans; how we also go to other countries to create infrastructure. Schools. Libraries. Aqueducts and drinking water. Farming assistance. Any many times, these students are unable to win a rational debate about America without changing the subject or having an open mind. So here I am, to remind those students, just how grateful Puerto Ricans were when Americans returned to rescue them from the Japanese.

Please enjoy the show and join the discussion. I try to keep politics out, which of course in its nature is virtually impossible, because I want to leave the political discussion to you. I’ll point out both sides of the argument, story, topic, or whatever, and let you go from there. Intelligent conversation is always welcome and appreciated. Thanks for listening!
