MAY 9
1887-Buffalo Bill’s Wild West goes east all the way to our brethren across the pond.

…William F. Cody opens his show on May 19, 1883 in Omaha, Nebraska. It featured the Pony Express relay race, the wagon train, and recreation of battles such as Custer’s last stand. Skills acts such as sharp shooting with pistol and rifles, wing shooting with shotguns, roping and riding were included as well. Native Americans were included in the Cowboy and Indian battle recreation.
It worked well for them since they got paid the same as the white man, and their families were allowed to travel with them as they did their shows going from city to city. But the humiliation was punctuated night after night as the natives would lose the battles recreations to the American conquest.

Annie Oakley! Sure shot! She could shoot the cigar out of an assistant’s mouth. From four miles away! Alright, maybe a little closer. Like 50 feet or something. On May 9th, Buffalo Bill took his show to London and performed in front of Queen Victoria.

The British responded by attacking us with the irresistible Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Black Sabbath.

2001 – Dr. Steven Greer, founder of the Disclosure Project, assembles witnesses.

What did these witnesses disclose? Aliens! Nanu Nanu! According to his ND website, over twenty military, intelligence, government, corporate and scientific witnesses came forward at the National Press Club in Washington, DC to establish the reality of UFOs or extraterrestrial vehicles, extraterrestrial life forms, and resulting advanced energy and propulsion technologies. The weight of this first-hand testimony, along with supporting government documentation and other evidence, will establish without any doubt the reality of these phenomena. Well Howdy Doody there. Ancient mankind deduced there are more stars in the galaxy then sands on this earth.

But ancient mankind didn’t know may not have known about the concept of the multiverse, in which there are an infinite number of other worlds. The number of grains of sand on earth has a definite number, probably about the same number as our national debt. LOL.  The fact is, we’ve been visited by aliens from other planets for a very very long time, just not sure how long, says Dr.Greer. Although there is no evidence that supports extra-terrestrials living among us, there have been many close encounters. SiriusDisclosure’s website, spelled S-I-R-I-U-S states that other countries, such as Britain and France, have disclosed formerly classified documents which hold clues to the advancement of our own studies of energy generation and propulsion. By that he means, I think, an electromagnetic system that that allows the creation of an over-unity power generation via the ZPE, or zero-point energy.

The over unity is when the manmade input is less than the natural output. Good grief, now I’m sounding like a Star Trek episode. Anyway, we use these technologies as a strong and peaceful civilization just like our planetary brethren across the galaxy, not for war here on Earth. Out there unquestionably is a Supreme Being, or God, Yahweh, Rah, Great One, or just call me Joe. Oops, sorry I digress. Actually the intelligent lifeforms out there in the universe are vastly more advance than us silly and primitive Earthlings. Yet we have one thing in common: our souls. God is not dead, my friends, that is impossible. We would die long before God ever would.  Remember that the aliens have not attacked us; we have attacked ourselves.

Dr. Steven Greer was born on June 29, 1955, in Charlottesville,  NC. He saw his first sighting at 8 years old and since then has been pushing the future to the past through TM, or Transcendental Meditation. Good stuff, btw if you’re into that sort of thing. On his disclosureproject.org site, he lists several quotes from Margarete Meade to Bobby Kennedy, and another from Eisenhower, taking out of his 1961 Farewell to the Union Speech, when Ike warned of the Military Industrial Complex. Though he was referring to the Pentagon, Congress, Boeing and Lockheed, the context, whether regarding men in black, visitors, close encounters, or phoning home, it remains relevant to this day.

1973 – Cincinnati Red All-star Johnny Bench

…hits three home runs off Philadelphia Phillies all-star Steve Carlton.
The last time he hit three home runs off Carlton was just a year earlier, where he also drove in seven runs. At this point Bench had already led the national league with 45 home runs and 148 RBIs while batting .293. The Big Red Machine is considered one of the best teams in baseball history, consisting of Bench, Pete Rose, Tony Perez and George Foster.

As a catcher, Bench also started a trend; get this to wear a batting helmet. Probably a good idea when you have a 90MPH fast ball heading right towards your head more than 100 times per game. Bench was born December 7, 1947 in Oklahoma City, he’s a 14-time all-star selection and a two time NL MVP, The Reds during this time won six division titles, four NL pennants, and 2 world series championships. ESPN has called Johnny Bench the greatest catcher in baseball history.

1949-Happy Birthday Piano Man!

What has Billy Joel done with his career? He’s the sixth best selling recording artist and the third best-selling solo artist in the United States. His greatest hits vole 1 & 2 is the third best selling album in the US. He racked up 33 top 40 songs, all of which he wrote himself. He’s a six-time Grammy award winner and has been nominated for 23 Grammies.

He’s sold more than 150 million records, was inducted into the songwriters hall of fame, the rock and roll hall of fame, and the long island music hall of fame. He’s received the Johnny mercer award for songwriter’s hall of fame, the Kennedy center honors which are the nation’s highest honor for influencing American culture through the arts.

How well do you know the anatomy of the song the Piano Man? Let’s find out. I don’t have enough time to give the answers, so to see if you’re right, go listen to the song. You want to hear it anyway! What hour is it in the opening line? Who or what was the old man in the bar making love to? In the chorus, Well we’re all in the mood for a what? What’s the bartender’s name? What does the bartender want to be “if he gets out of this place”?
